Cjay Thompson more popularly known as DJ Bobajoe was raised in Clarendon, Jamaica James Hill community. From around the year 2003 DJ Bobajoe have always had passion for music when scratching and playing with his dad vinyl. During primary days DJ Bobajoe and friends would always beating the desk and djing to their own vibe of imagination party at the James Hill Primary School.

Throughout the year of 2011 to 2012 DJ Bobajoe started to use his cousin laptop computer to play music and at this time he saw the real love of being a dj, he then created profiles on social media where he upload short mixes of himself djing, throughout this time he and his cousin decided to start a brand where they started the Team Bamshella Group.

During high school DJ Bobajoe was introduced to the Android application Cross DJ by his brother where he developed more skills for his dj techniques. Within the fourth form of Claude McKay High the guidance department hosted a DJ competition and DJ Bobajoe was invited to enter, he took up that task and entered, at this time he didn't had a personal computer for himself and he borrowed a computer from his eldest brother. He became the champion of this competition, this was where he saw his talent in which he took more control of and grew to where he is today.

DJ Bobajoe doesn't see himself as an dj, entertainer, producer and actor only he categorizes himself as an "Extratainer" a word that have being created by DJ Bobajoe and defined as a person who is multi-talented and extraordinary.

Over the years DJ Bobajoe have being making rounds over social media with pranks and mixtapes but not only that, he have created films and hosted radio shows. With a success still at the roots DJ Bobajoe aim to get on the top and be in history books, showing the world what vibe he can bring and make Jamaica proud.
